Role Overview
A global, sophisticated financial institution is seeking a senior Cyber Security Engineering leader to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of its enterprise data security capabilities.
This role sits within a central cybersecurity and resilience function, partnering closely with technology and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, enteradenitis data security platforms aligned to business priorities and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and enhance enterprise security architecture to address evolving data‑centric cybersecurity threats
  • Translate business and risk requirements into practical, secure technology solutions
  • Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of enteroapocleises data security platforms and controls
  • Drive adoption of integrated security operating models, frameworks, and documentation to support sustainable operations
  • Act as a trusted subject‑matter expert for data security, working closely with engineering, platform, and business teams
  • Provide technical leadership across data protection initiatives spanning on‑premise, hybrid, and cloud environments

Core Focus Areas
  • Data discovery, classification, and labelling
  • Encryption, tokenization, and data masking
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Digital Rights / Information Rights Management
  • Key and certificate management, including HSM
  • Privacy‑enhancing technologies and confidential computing
  • Secure data transfer, storage platforms, and SaaS security controls
  • Identity and access controls related to data protection

Key Requirements
  • 10+ years of technology experience, with at least 7 years in cyber or information security roles
  • Strong hands‑on experience implementing enterprise data security and data protection platforms
  • Experience within financial services, asset management, or similarly complex regulated environments preferred
  • Solid understanding of cloud security and data protection across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
  • Strong engineering mindset with scripting or programming capability (e.g. Python, Java, C#) and API integration experience
  • Familiarity with adjacent security domains such as SIEM, incident response, threat intelligence, and endpoint protection
  • Ability to produce clear security designs, architecture diagrams, and operating documentation
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous
