Your new role
Here is a summary of the role you are applying for;
They seek an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and safety of their manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in managing facilities, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;
- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the manufacturing plant, including buildings, equipment, and utilities.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Management Reporting: Manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) related to facilities management.
- Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of facilities staff, including Building Management and Facilities Services personnel.
- Energy Management: Develop and implement energy-efficient practices to reduce energy consumption and costs.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Production Engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless facilities management.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate, should have;
- Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- WSH Certifications: Possess WSH certifications, such as WSH Officer or Certified WSH Officer (plus point).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to create and present reports.
