Your new role
As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving regional growth across Southeast Asia and India. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to support customers, develop new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive regional sales strategy, revenue growth, and key account management across Southeast Asia
- Identify and develop new business opportunities based on customer application requirements
- Provide on-site technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and process optimisation
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams on product selection, development, and scale-up
- Conduct product testing, screening, and optimisation (e.g. printing, firing, soldering processes)
- Analyse competitor activities and market trends to inform business strategy
- Develop customer action plans and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Support customers’ production processes and resolve technical issues (e.g. efficiency, adhesion, printability)
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visit summaries for internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and training to stay current on emerging technologies
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- Experience in technical sales, application engineering, or customer-facing roles within advanced materials, manufacturing, or renewable energy sectors
- Understanding of industrial processes or materials applications (e.g. coatings, electronics, or energy-related technologies)
- Proven experience in technical sales or application engineering
- Knowledge of statistical process control, failure analysis, and quality tools is advantageous
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
