client is a Fortune 500 organisation headquartered in Japan, with a strong
market presence internationally. They are a leader in several industries, such
as consumer electronics, entertainment, and telecommunications.
Your new role
Your
role as the Regional IT Head (IS and Governance) is to oversee the IT
applications planning and budgeting for the entire SEA region. You will
collaborate with Business and IT Senior Management to align with business
strategies and global / regional IS directions.
You
will also work with internal teams to ensure compliance with the Regional IS
Application Chargeback Mechanism and the Regional IS Initiatives Review and
Approval process governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop
overall strategies for continuous process improvement, sustained operational
excellence and business agility.
- Create
and control IT budget/planning for SEA with more than 1,500 staffs across 10
countries in Southeast Asia.
- Review
the IT roadmap & plan on new IT strategy in line with HQ direction to
minimise total IT costs and remove redundancy.
- Develop
relationship with business team and maintains effective communication to better
understands their business needs.
- Gather
VoC, estimate costing for IT solutions, develop quality proposals, benchmark
prices against competition and negotiate on projects’ pricing to gain returns
from IT investment, so as to align with business priorities together with the
IS strategy.
- Lead
in regional IS applications’ short to mid-term strategies/planning and its
roadmap development.
- Lead
in regional IS applications’ chargeback preparation and finalisation (including
chargeback announcement and Service Agreement review & confirmation).
- Formulate
and maintain regional IS initiative review and approval process including
confirmation of timeline, resources, and budget during project pre-planning
& planning phase.
- Support
regional IS initiative planning and initiation as well as its project status
monitoring & reporting.
- Maintain
close communication with senior management to plan, control and implement IS
solutions for supporting business goals.
- Communicate
with Asia Pacific IS management and conduct key IS meetings for the region.
What you'll need to succeed
- Possesses
a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in quantitative fields such as Computer
Science, Business, Applied Analytics, etc. (May be substituted by relevant
years of experience).
- At
least 7 to 9 years of relevant working experience in the IT industry, with at
least 3 to 5 years in a senior management position.
- Good
business understanding (Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and Logistics)
of multiple systems with enterprise application knowledge experience (e.g., but
not limited to, SAP S/4 Hana and Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong
technical background with a proven track record in applying project management
methodologies effectively, demonstrating effective leadership, and leading
project management initiatives.
