My client is seeking a motivated Purchasing Supervisor for a leading medical device company located in the West. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain by effectively managing procurement activities.

Your new role

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable delivery schedules.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.

• Analyse market trends and identify potential sourcing opportunities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless procurement processes.

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.

• Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to medical device procurement.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field

• Minimum 6 years of procurement experience with minimally 2 years of leading a team

• Strong proficiency in SAP

• Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
