My client is a leading company within the manufacturing sector situated in the West. They are seeking a skilled Purchasing & Logistics Manager to lead a strategic sourcing and shipping function. It is located in Joo Koon.

Your new role

• Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Establish and drive a world-class procurement function, delivering significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Forge strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functions and international business units.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage key supplier partnerships to optimise cost, quality, and service levels.

• Contract & Compliance Mastery: Oversee contract negotiation and compliance, ensuring adherence to payment terms, pricing, and performance standards.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Lead innovation initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities, new products, and strategic suppliers.

• Inventory & Market Analysis: Manage stock levels, monitor market trends, and provide insightful financial performance and risk reporting.

• Process Optimisation: Develop and refine purchasing-to-pay processes, supplier management tools, and internal purchasing procedures.

• Comprehensive Procurement Oversight: Manage internal purchases (MRO & Indirect) and direct raw material procurement.

• Global Logistics Management: Oversee import and export operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient shipping.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least a Degree in Supply Chain or related

• At least 6 years of experience in a procurement management role in a similar manufacturing industry

• Team management experience is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to build and lead strategic sourcing initiatives.

• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
