My client is a logistics company with a strong presence across Southeast Asia. They specialise in freight forwarding, warehousing, and door-to-door delivery, offering smart, reliable solutions for global cargo movement.

Your new role

As Operations Manager (Freight Forwarding), your task is as below but not limited to:
  • Oversee daily business functions, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and reliability across logistics operations.
  • Lead import, export, transshipment, and nomination teams; develop SOPs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct annual reviews, prepare performance reports, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns, manage shipping claims, and negotiate settlements effectively.
  • Manage departmental budgets, align spending with business goals, and contribute to target setting.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong expertise in Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and multitask effectively within a team of more than 10 members.
  • Comfortable collaborating across multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient in using Sysfreight logistics software.
