Your new role

You will play a pivotal role in evaluating business proposals from global and country teams, understanding business models, and performing due diligence. Your keen analytical skills will be put to the test as you perform thorough due diligence, scrutinise credit reports from top independent firms, and conduct comprehensive financial analyses. Your recommendations on limits and mitigation measures will be pivotal in steering our business decisions. In this role, you will also prepare insightful risk advisories that will be circulated across the organisation, ensuring our trading teams are well-informed about various risk issues. You will take the lead in reviewing the annual budgeting exercise, where your expertise will help set and approve limits for the various profit centres. Staying abreast of the latest economic, political, and market developments, you will calibrate your review decisions to respond effectively to external factors. Additionally, you will produce and circulate timely credit and counterparty risk dashboards, providing critical insights for specific products. Your role will involve engaging with country teams that manage high-risk profit centres, ensuring regular reviews and effective risk management.


What you'll need to succeed

In order for you to succeed in this position, you will have:

  • 8 or more years of experience in risk and/or finance-related fields

  • Strong analytical skills and proven knowledge of commodities products and markets

  • Great team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate and interface with all levels of the organisation and regulatory bodies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities concurrently
