An established organisation undergoing a significant business transformation is looking for a TMS Specialist to support the technical and operational aspects of its Transportation Management System (TMS).

Your new role

This position will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of transportation planning, carrier management, freight visibility, and logistics execution while supporting ongoing transformation and system enhancement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Acting as the key liaison between logistics operations, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Configuring and maintaining TMS master data, transportation rules, workflows, and reporting tools
  • Identifying opportunities to improve transportation processes, freight efficiency, and system utilisation
  • Supporting TMS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimisation projects
  • Coordinating testing activities including UAT, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system validation
  • Analysing transportation performance data, freight costs, carrier service levels, and operational KPIs
  • Developing system documentation, SOPs, training materials, and best practices for end users
  • Supporting change management initiatives as part of the company's broader supply chain transformation programme

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, retail, or 3PL environments
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning, carrier management, freight operations, and logistics execution processes
  • Experience supporting TMS implementations, system integrations, upgrades, or optimisation projects
  • Familiarity with transportation networks across domestic and regional markets
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into system improvements and scalable solutions
  • Hands-on project experience in supply chain transformation, digitalisation, process improvement, or system migration initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Experience integrating TMS with ERP, WMS, visibility platforms, or carrier systems will be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of transportation analytics, freight cost management, and performance reporting is preferred
