Your new role

The job scope involves managing various aspects of human resources (HR) and leading a team of five individuals in Singapore and Malaysia. The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire range of HR functions, overseeing activities related to recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees.
  • Communicating job expectations, values, strategies, and objectives to enhance employee effectiveness.
  • Analyzing operational results, job requirements, and operational problems to identify training and development needs within the organization.
  • Developing and implementing a strategic recruitment and selection plan.
  • Designing and implementing a performance management system that aligns business planning and organizational targets with employee goal setting and result management.
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of HR systems to improve reporting and streamline data processing.
  • Implementing process changes within the organization, focusing on areas such as reporting structure, communications, performance management, policy and procedure development, and employee engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Developing positive human resource policies and procedures to proactively prevent litigation cases.
  • Collaborating with business unit leaders to create talent management plans, including assessing resource needs, identifying talent gaps, and developing strategies to address these gaps.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to all levels of management to foster positive employee engagement and develop leadership skills.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in a related industry such as Logistics, Shipping, or Freight Forwarding.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field, with a track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
  • Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to effectively oversee and guide the work of others.
