Your new role
As an HR Assistant Manager, you will take on a hands‑on and operationally focused role, supporting and overseeing key Human Resources functions across the organisation. This role requires strong grounding in HR operations, compliance, and internal controls, along with the ability to navigate complexity, exercise sound judgement, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
Working closely with management and key stakeholders, you will support the full employee lifecycle, contribute to HR governance and process improvements, and provide reliable HR advisory support to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and supporting end‑to‑end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle processes
- Ensuring compliance with local employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal HR policies
- Establishing, monitoring, and enhancing HR internal controls, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Acting as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting management on organisational development, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of HR records and documentation
- Leading or supporting HR projects and process improvement initiatives
- Providing sound HR advice to stakeholders and contributing to informed decision-making
- Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring HR practices meet governance and control standards
- Proactively identifying operational issues and implementing effective solutions in a fast‑paced environment
- Undertaking additional HR responsibilities as required by management
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, with strong exposure to HR operations, compliance, and internal controls. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, working under pressure, and supporting stakeholders across different functions.
You will be recognised for your:
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience implementing or managing internal controls and audit processes
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
Professional HR certification (e.g. IHRP, SHRM, or equivalent) and experience in a fast‑paced or regional environment will be advantageous.
