Your new role

• Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement multi-year procurement strategies for categories such as frozen meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, and dry goods. Align buying strategies with business goals and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee tactical buying processes, ensure compliance, and introduce best practices across the team.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with global and regional suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and secure marketing support for exclusive brands. Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Performance & Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs, monitor procurement effectiveness, and lead initiatives for operational excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage stock levels, support brand growth, and align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in direct procurement within the food industry, with proven success in cost optimisation and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
