Your new company
This asset management firm is a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licenced fund management company regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. It provides discretionary portfolio management and fund management services for accredited and institutional investors. In July 2025, the firm was acquired by a PE-backed financial advisory platform. The acquisition marks the start of a strategic transformation phase – improving governance, upgrading internal reporting, streamlining operations, and elevating the finance function to match private equity-backed standards.
Your new role
Seeking a Finance Manager (or Assistant Finance Manager, depending on experience) to join the company during a pivotal time of organisational change – managing core finance responsibilities, working closely with group-level stakeholders, and providing insightful financial analysis beyond routine reporting. The new hire will report directly to the CEO, with a dotted line to the Group Finance lead. While there are no direct reports, this role oversees the outsourced accounting provider and is a key contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
This is a high-exposure, stable, hands-on role ideal for someone experienced, detail-oriented, and ready to deliver results during a period of change. As well as overseeing the company’s finance function, the role will also provide some HR support where needed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, month-end closing, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with outsourced accounting firm on bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and statutory filings.
- Oversee corporate tax, annual audit, and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review management reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing meaningful analysis and insights for senior management and group stakeholders.
- Track financial performance against budget and highlight key variances or emerging risks.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to group finance, working closely with stakeholders who have strong audit/finance backgrounds.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automations, and system enhancements (e.g., integrating data across Xero, Excel, or internal tools)
- Ensure alignment with PE-style reporting expectations, including tighter controls and deeper insight
- Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts, and scenario planning where needed
- Navigate a changing reporting landscape with composure, initiative, and clear communication
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and group-level initiatives.
- Assist in HR administration including recruitment coordination, onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records.
- Prepare periodic staff and HR-related reporting required by management and regulators.
- Coordinate with external vendors and outsourced providers on payroll and employee benefits.
- Oversee general office management matters such as facilities, supplies, and vendor relationships.

- Detail-oriented and resilient under high standards from Group Finance
