As part of its continued growth and operational excellence agenda, the company is seeking an experienced procurement leader to strengthen its global supply capabilities and ensure sustainable, cost-efficient production.
Your new role
As the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Procurement, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing end-to-end direct procurement activities. You will be responsible for driving supplier strategy, ensuring production continuity, and optimising costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing direct procurement strategies across global supply networks
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support production throughput and scalability
- Overseeing strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management to deliver value and mitigate risk
- Managing production capacity planning with suppliers to align with business demand forecasts
- Driving cost optimisation initiatives, including should-cost modelling and continuous improvement programs
- Partnering cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution
- Leading, mentoring, and developing procurement teams to achieve high performance and engagement
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong blend of strategic thinking and operational execution:
- Proven experience in direct procurement within manufacturing environments (ideally global or regional scale)
- Strong track record in supplier management, sourcing, and complex negotiations
- Experience in production capacity management and supply planning
- Demonstrated success in cost management and value engineering initiatives
- Solid exposure to contract management and risk mitigation strategies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies
- Leadership experience, with the ability to develop and inspire teams
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline (advanced qualifications are advantageous)
