For our Client, the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group owned by an entrepreneurial family, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer.
Your new role
As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the successful automation of our business web application platform strategy. Your specific duties include:
- Work closely with Product Owners and Software Architects to build solutions to fulfill the product vision
- Design and configure containerized Openshift application platform solutions with a focus on application concerns
- Provide mentoring to the teams in the best practices associated with CI/CD deployments using GitLab
- Write and build continuous delivery pipelines to manage and automate the lifecycle of the different platform components
- Leveraging cloud native architecture pattern using Data and Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration/continuous delivery, in an on-premise or public-cloud (Azure) environment, where everything is automated
- Support in setting up a highly automated instance deployment (development, test, integration, production)
- Installation and operation of the DevOps tool landscape
- Act as release and environment manager
You will be working in product oriented agile delivery teams with key stakeholders in APAC and EMEA. The international setup offers you to work remotely and in co-location spaces. Your line team is mainly located in Singapore.

What you'll need to succeed
- This role is a hands-on role that requires a passion to code, test and deliver quality pipelines, with a focus on automation, continuous improvement and non-functional testing.
- You have minimum 2 years solid experience with Automation Software (e.g. GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins) and Container Platforms (e.g. Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Familiarity with security best practices regarding containerisation and virtual machines
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous, and ambiguous environment
- You have a constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve
- Experience in Agile processes, analytical, solution driven, keen to details and quality, ability to work with a team
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Experience in Banking/Financial Industry would be an added advantage
