Your new role
As a Regulatory Compliance specialist, you will take on a pivotal role within the Asia Compliance function, supporting regulatory oversight across multiple jurisdictions such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan. This role places you at the heart of regulatory engagements, policy implementation, and governance processes, where you will partner closely with senior compliance leadership and regional stakeholders. You will be responsible for executing quality assurance programs, monitoring regulatory change, responding to regulator queries, and ensuring day-to-day compliance with Singapore banking regulations and licencing requirements. Beyond BAU responsibilities, you will contribute to regulatory reporting, audits, training, and committee governance, while acting as a trusted compliance advisor to the business. This is a highly exposed role suited for an experienced compliance professional who enjoys navigating regulatory complexity, working across borders and cultures, and contributing to the strength and credibility of a globally systemically important financial institution.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will have:
Minimum 7 years of regulatory compliance experience within the banking or financial services industry
Strong working knowledge of Singapore banking regulations and MAS regulatory guidelines
Experience supporting regulatory reporting, audits, quality assurance, compliance testing is crucial
Exposure to international sanctions and cross border regulatory matters is an advantage
Knowledge of international securities depository or post-trade environments is a strong plus
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
