Your new role
As part of the Asset Services team, you will be the subject-matter expert for the team and to handle the various aspects of corporate actions, particularly the Equity-Linked Notes. You will focus on process improvements while delivering good service and reducing operational risk.
- Check the information gathered by junior colleagues (i.e. from Depository, Issuer, Delivery/Paying Agent)
- Authorise, validate, repair and execute inbound – outbound instructions (from customers to depositories/agent)
- Check and authorise redemption proceeds and adhere to deadlines
- Contact depository, issuer, delivery/paying agents for reconciliation purposes or event clarifications
- Support complex customer queries, handle escalations and lead investigations
- Reconcile cash and/or securities discrepancies in a timely manner
- Participate and support testing projects in new implementation when necessary
- Periodic review and provide feedback on functional specifications
- Support Line Manager in KPI Reporting and participate actively in Audit activities and owning audit findings till resolutions and closure
- Ensuring all queries, emails and questions are addressed and replied to on a timely basis
- Support and providing sound and comprehensive problem solutions to daily operational activities and client queries
- Owning all operational processing issues and engagements with issuers, paying agents and depositories, including internal stakeholders
- Engaging team members positively, deploying good interpersonal skills and managing the team members for staff development and advancement
- Owning and solving staff issues
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and mindset, good clear communication and stay away from unproductive activities and negative engagements
- Display positive positioning with confidence and speak with clarity and articulate
- Stay abreast and up-to-date with market changes and development
- Providing training and guidance to the team
- Support your line manager in managing, engaging the team and solving the daily business activities and processing

- Superior analytical, numerical and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Competency in handling MS Office applications, Access and/or Excel. VBA knowledge has an added advantage

- Market and client oriented with a desire to serve clients and understanding the market nuisances and limitations
- Good influence and negotiation skills with good people management and interpersonal disposition
- Good risk management and awareness with the ability to work on mitigating and limiting the risks
