An exciting multinational corporation in the commodities space is looking for a Finance Controller to join their Singapore office.

Your new role

In a newly created role, reporting directly to the Commercial Director and Regional Finance Director, you would primarily be in charge of the end-to-end finance function for the business.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee company financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, monitor spending, and provide forecasts to guide strategic decisions.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Leadership: Supervise accounting teams, mentor staff, and collaborate with other departments to align financial goals.
• Strategic Support: Provide financial insights to senior management for decision-making and long-term planning

What you'll need to succeed

You would require a Degree in Accountancy or Finance and being a Certified Accountant would be a plus. You are a senior finance professional with at least 10 to 15 years of experience within the commodities/logistics or shipping industry. You are a hands-on individual with leadership experience and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You are someone with strong business acumen, highly adaptable and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to do the work.
