Your new role
- Interpret customer needs and convert them into clear mechanical design objectives.
- Explore and validate design concepts through simulations (e.g., force, thermal, vibration) and lifecycle assessments.
- Identify optimal design approaches that balance performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Choose appropriate materials to ensure long-term reliability and compatibility with semiconductor environments.
- Create precision tooling and fixtures to support advanced packaging workflows.
- Develop detailed 3D models and conduct structural evaluations.
- Work closely with process and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth implementation and alignment with DFM principles.
- Contribute to ongoing design enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall system performance.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards in line with Singapore’s regulatory framework.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Solid background in mechanical design, ideally within the semiconductor sector.
- Skilled in CAD tools such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with advanced packaging techniques (e.g., wafer-level, 2.5D/3D integration, flip-chip) is a plus.
- Understanding of thermal control, vibration damping, and precision motion systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical mindset and adaptability in fast-paced engineering environments.
