SG Equity Research Analyst/Associate (6 months contract)

Your new role
  • Apply research and data analysis techniques to develop hypotheses, analyze study results and uncover findings
  • Create and maintain earnings and valuation models leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics.
  • Update and publish high frequency data in a timely way.
  • Mine primary and secondary research data and collaborate with counterparts to enhance studies and publications.
  • Stay current with industry and macroeconomic trends impacting markets under coverage
  • Assist in the design and preparation of analyst marketing strategy and materials
  • Attend corporate calls and generate industry insights
  • Present findings in a clear and concise way and collaborate with team members to weave insights and implications into analyst publications

 What you'll need to succeed
  • Strong academic background with Bachelor's degree (Economics/Finance/Business/Quantitative)
  • Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, etc.) is a plus.
  • 0-1 year of working experience, preferably in equity research, investment analysis, accounting.
  • Experience utilizing Excel to build/maintain financial models, an advanced level of Excel proficiency is expected and required.
  • Critical thinker with a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • High level of initiative and detail-driven
  • Able to think clearly and make sound decisions even in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
