Are you a strategic leader with a knack for building strong relationships and driving continuous improvement? My client is a leading power generation company. They are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement operations across the Asia-Pacific region. Located in Central Singapore.

Your new role

• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they meet their goals.

• Identify areas for improvement in our procurement process, developing and implementing plans to enhance work quality and operational efficiency.

• Oversee all procurement activities, ensuring purchase orders and contracts are issued in a timely manner and comply with company policies.

• Get hands-on with contract administration and expediting work during project execution, including desk and site visits.

• Manage and enhance the purchasing process, working with multiple vendors to arrange for materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and technical advisor dispatch.

• Source and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers to expand our in-house database and ensure we are getting sufficient quality at a reasonable price.

• Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and logistics companies on the terms and conditions of procurement agreements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in procurement and vendor management, preferably in the industrial or energy sectors.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and team development.
• Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration across regions and departments.
