Business Analyst position for a public sector project
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst to support public sector initiatives by analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders across government agencies to deliver impactful solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyze current processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support project proposals.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT and development teams.
  • Support the design and implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing platforms.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to elicit requirements and feedback.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and compliance standards.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to public sector policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the public sector or government projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power BI, JIRA).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with government procurement, budgeting, and compliance frameworks is a plus.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is advantageous.
