My client is seeking a dynamic Procurement Director to join their expanding team in the East. Specialising in large-scale equipment for the B2B market, this newly created role offers the opportunity to work directly with the CFO, driving cost-saving initiatives, implementing MRP systems, and managing strategic relationships with contract manufacturers.

Your new role

• Strategic Procurement Leadership: Lead and optimise procurement strategies across direct and indirect categories, with a strong focus on cost savings, supplier performance, and long-term value creation.
• MRP System Implementation: Spearhead the implementation and integration of a robust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to streamline inventory, production planning, and procurement workflows.
• Contract Manufacturer Management:Oversee relationships with contract manufacturers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost competitiveness. Negotiate and manage long-term agreements and performance metrics.
• Cost Optimisation & Spend Analysis:Drive procurement cost-savings initiatives through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing. Deliver measurable savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with Engineering, Production, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align procurement strategies with business goals and product development timelines.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, ideally in the manufacturing, robotics, or technology sector.
• Strong track record in cost savings, MRP implementation, and contract manufacturer management
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and procurement digital tools
• Able to speak in Mandarin as this role will work with Chinese suppliers
• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
