My client, a top global shipping and logistics company is renowned for innovation and operational excellence. They seek a dynamic Senior Charterer to join their collaborative, growth-focused team and drive future success.

Your new role

Operations:

• Oversee vessel nominations, approvals, and appointments of agents/surveyors, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of voyages.

• Manage and monitor voyage planning, logistics, and post-fixture operations while maintaining updated chartering records and performance data.

• Lead cost analysis and handle claims management, including dispute resolution under Charter Parties.

Chartering:

• Collaborate with the trading team to align logistics with sales/purchase obligations, port limitations, and market dynamics.

• Monitor freight market trends and competitor activity to develop and advise on freight chartering strategies.

• Negotiate and fix suitable tonnage (voyage/time/COA/period), prepare and review Charter Parties, and manage relationships with vessel operators.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally, someone with a background in dry bulk, commodities, or experience working in a shipping company.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in developing a career in chartering.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to evaluate and optimise logistics operations and strategies.
