My client is a key organisation at the forefront of promoting workforce well-being and career development nationwide. They are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in our continued growth and efficiency.

In this critical leadership position, you'll be instrumental in shaping and centralising our procurement functions. You'll drive best practices, implement innovative solutions, and manage a talented team to ensure our resources are leveraged effectively to support our mission.

Your new role

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee and centralise our organisation's procurement functions, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures across all departments.

  • Contract & Vendor Management: Expertly manage contract renewals and extensions, maintaining a comprehensive master register and engaging key stakeholders as needed.

  • Process Optimisation: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans, policies, and procedures. Analyse reports to identify opportunities for cost savings, process enhancements, and improved vendor performance, presenting insights to senior management.

  • Market & Digital Transformation: Monitor market trends to ensure competitive procurement strategies. Lead the implementation of a new e-procurement system, continuously identifying areas for improvement to boost efficiency and compliance.

  • Financial Stewardship & Compliance: Manage all aspects of procurement budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Oversee internal procurement audits to ensure timely execution and adherence to standards.

  • Team Development: Mentor and lead the procurement team, fostering a growth-oriented environment and providing guidance on complex procurement cases.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant procurement experience, with a proven track record in successfully managing and developing teams.

  • System Savvy: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Materials Management is highly preferred.

  • Policy Expertise: Strong knowledge of government procurement policies is a significant advantage.

  • E-Procurement Mastery: Demonstrated experience in implementing e-procurement systems and a deep understanding of digital procurement tools and platforms.

  • Influential Communicator: Ability to confidently present and conduct training sessions for various internal stakeholders, including senior management, on procurement processes and best practices.
