Role Summary:This leadership role is responsible for overseeing IT service delivery, helpdesk operations, and vendor management to ensure reliable system performance and alignment with business goals. The position plays a key role in optimising application support, enhancing service standards, and driving operational efficiency across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Operational Planning
- Define and implement service management frameworks.
- Align vendor strategies with digital transformation goals.
- Evaluate and manage application lifecycle transitions.
2. Vendor & Application Maintenance
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure SLA compliance.
- Manage change requests, incidents, and service reporting.
- Lead application support and user access administration.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Build and lead a skilled IT service delivery team.
- Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching.
- Foster collaboration across teams and vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Certifications in ITIL and PMP are advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in application support and vendor management.
- Minimum 3 years in team and people leadership roles.
- Technical proficiency in Unix, Java, middleware, automation tools, and databases.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
