Contracts Manager - ICT

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic organisation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement and ICT systems. Centrally located, this will be a three-year contract.

Your new role

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle from inception to renewal or termination, including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and archiving of ICT-related agreements (e.g., software licenses, hardware procurement, cloud services, managed services, professional services, SLAs, NDAs).

  • Negotiation & Drafting: Lead and support negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels. Draft, review, and amend complex ICT contracts to ensure legal soundness and alignment with business objectives.

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks. Ensure all contracts comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations (e.g., data privacy, security standards).

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with legal, procurement, IT, finance, and business units to understand requirements, provide contractual advice, and ensure effective contract implementation.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key ICT vendors, driving performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving contractual disputes or issues, working towards amicable and effective solutions.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve contract management processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate contract records and provide regular reports on contract status, key terms, obligations, and performance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and ICT management

  • A strong understanding of the government environment, procurement, and contract management practices

  • Proficiency in GeBIZ is highly desirable

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
