My client is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Procurement & Technical Services Specialist to support the technical and purchasing operations for a global fleet of vessels. This role is central to ensuring vessels remain seaworthy, compliant, and commercially ready, while also managing essential procurement activities across stores, spares, and technical services.

Your new role

• Coordinate class and flag requirements to maintain vessel seaworthiness, including arranging surveys, inspections, and updating technical records.
• Manage offland repair and service items, sourcing contractors, securing approvals, tracking job completion, and updating PMS systems.
• Assist Superintendents in dry‑dock planning, compiling specifications, reviewing quotations, monitoring progress, and handling documentation and invoice closure.
• Ensure validity of trading certificates and support adherence to ISO procedures and technical process manuals.
• Handle end‑to‑end purchasing, including issuing POs, sourcing stores/spares/provisions, and coordinating timely and cost‑effective deliveries to vessels.
• Maintain accurate procurement and technical records, including supply logs, monthly spares reports, inventory lists, and expense documentation.
• Evaluate and manage suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, resolving non‑conformities, reviewing contracts, and supporting negotiation and rebate processes.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 3 years of experience in a shipping company in a Technical Executive or purchasing support role
• Good understanding of vessel operations, class/flag requirements, and marine technical processes
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
